OMKARESHWAR JYOTHIRLINGA

Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located in Mandhata, nearby Khandwa city in Khandwa district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva.[1] It is on an island called Mandhata, near Khandwa city in the Narmada river at Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh, India; the shape of the island is said to be like the Devanagari ॐ symbol.There are two main temples of Shiva here, one to Omkareshwar (whose name means "Lord of Omkara or the Lord of the Om sound") located in the island and one to Mamleshwar (Amaleshwar) (whose name means "Immortal Lord" or "lord of the Immortals or Devas") located on the southern bank of the Narmada River on the mainland.Madhya Pradesh has two Jyotirlingas, the second one, Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, is situated about 140 km north of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga.

Ujjain is an ancient city beside the Kshipra River in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. An important Hindu pilgrimage destination, it’s known for the centuries-old Mahakaleshwar Temple, a towering structure with a distinctively ornate roof. Nearby, Bade Ganesh Temple houses a colorful statue of Ganesh, the elephant-headed Hindu deity. Harsiddhi Temple features a pair of tall dark pillars studded with lamps.

Indore is a city in west-central India. It’s known for the 7-story Rajwada Palace and the Lal Baag Palace, which date back to Indore’s 19th-century Holkar dynasty. The Holkar rulers are honored by a cluster of tombs and cenotaphs at Chhatri Baag. The night market Sarafa Bazar sells street food. East is the Indo-Gothic Gandhi Hall and clock tower. The Jain temple Kanch Mandir has a mirrored mosaic interior. 

DAY 1

BENGALURU - INDORE - UJJAIN

Dep from Bengaluru airport, Arrival Indore airport pick up and proceed to Ujjain is one of the greatest cities of ancient India, situated on the banks of the river Shipra. Ujjain is one of the venues of the Kumbh Mela held every 12years. Visit Mahakaleshwar temple (This temple is having one of the the twelve Jyotirlingas in India), visit Kal Bhairava, ISKCON Temple, Sandipani Ashram (where Lord Krishna complete his Education), Harsiddi Temple, Chintaman Ganeshji Mandir. Night stay at Ujjain.

DAY 2

UJJAIN - INDORE

Early morning at 3AM, Visit Mahakaleshwar temple , after visiting temple Back to hotel after breakfast. check out from hotel & proceed for Indore for city tour. Indore located in the heart of the Malwa Plateau, Indore is possibly the best place to catch a glimpse of the life and times of the Holkar Dynasty. It is here that you find a fine amalgamation of art and culture of several regions and era in its various attractions, including palaces and temples. City tour includes the Kanch Mandir (Temple of mirrors), Khajrana, Chhatris of Holkars (Cenotaphs) and Bada Ganpati (very tall idol of Elephant God),over night stay at Indore.

DAY 3

INDORE TO OMKARESHWAR- INDORE

After Breakfast proceed for Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga sightseeing in Omkareshwar. Omkareshwar is a small town situated on the bank of river Narmada in MP. Omkareshwar is one of the 12 Jyotirling. Lot of people come to visit this holy place. Narmada river, mountains, temples, ringing bells all together creates a very different ambience which gives peace and calmness to our soul, its worth visiting this place. After darshan of Omkarnath enjoy boating in Narmada river, great seen of sun set in evening from bridge over the Narmada river Back to Indore Night Halt.

DAY 4

INDORE TO BANGALORE - INDORE AIRPORT DROP
