DAY 1

BANGALORE - COLOMBO - NEGOMBO

Depart from Bangalore Airport and arrive at Colombo International Airport. You will be met and greeted at the airport, and then proceed to Negombo, which is located by the shores of a lagoon with the same name. Negombo was once a trading port for the Portuguese and Dutch, and it is an ideal location for those who want quick access to and from the airport. Check-in to your hotel and enjoy dinner served there.

DAY 2

NEGOMBO/PINNAWALA/DAMBULLA

After breakfast, your first stop will be the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. At the elephant orphanage, you can witness the daily feeding of elephants. Once the feeding is complete, the elephants will be taken on foot to a nearby river for their daily bath. If you wish, you may also have the opportunity to ride an elephant. Lunch will be served while en-route to Dambulla. After lunch, we will proceed to Sigiriya to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress. This 5th century rock fortress, which is a world heritage site, was built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The Lion Rock is a citadel of unusual beauty, rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

DAY 3

SIGIRIYA/DAMBULLA/KANDY

After having breakfast, your first destination will be the Dambulla cave temple. The temple was built by King Wlagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is now a UNESCO world heritage site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples, with a complex of five caves that has over 2000 square meters of painted walls and ceilings, which is the largest area of paintings found in the world. You will have lunch on the way to Kandy. After that, you will visit the Spice Garden, where you can learn about the quality spices Sri Lanka is known for. In ancient times, the Greeks, Romans, and Arabs maintained their trade links with Sri Lanka through the spice trade. During the city tour in Kandy, you will visit the Gem Museum, Lapidary, Arts, and Crafts Factory. Dinner will be served at your hotel, where you will stay overnight in Kandy.

DAY 4

KANDY/TEMPLE OF TOOTH RELIC/RAMBODA /NUWARALIYA

After breakfast, your first visit will be Temple of tooth. Kandy a lovely exotic city, the hill capital and last stronghold of the Sinhala kings is a UNESCO world heritage site which retains an aura of grandeur, time as not affected. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center it is the sight of the renowned temple that enshrines the Tooth relic of the Lord Buddha. Then Proceed to Ramboda Have darshan of Hanuman, view waterfall and visit Tea factory. Nuwaraeliya-Meaning city on the plain (table land) or city of light is a town in the central highlands of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate Nuwara Eliya, most famous hill resort in Sri Lanka, is located at the altitude of 2000 meters. Dinner serve at your hotel. Overnight stay in Nuwaraeliya Hotel (3*).

DAY 5

NUWARAELIYA/KATHARAGAMA/YALA OR MIRISSA

After breakfast, your first destination is the beautiful city of Nuwara Eliya. You will visit some of its most striking places such as Ashoka Vana, Sita Agni Pravesha (Drivurumpola), Gregory Lake, and the city of Nuwara Eliya itself. Then, you will head towards Katharagama, where lunch will be served en-route. The Kataragama shrine, built in the 2nd century B.C. by King Dutugamunu (167-137 B.C.), is dedicated to God Skandha (Murugan), the God of Love and War. Today, it is a place of worship for Buddhists, Hindus, and some Muslims. In the afternoon, you will proceed for a Yala National Park safari. Yala is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and best-known national parks, covering about 1297 SqKm or 129,700 ha. It is the largest agglomeration of protected areas in the country, with diverse ecosystems ranging from moist monsoon forests, dry monsoon forests, semi-deciduous forests, grasslands, fresh water & marine wetlands, and sandy beaches. It is also home to a large number of important plant species and smaller animals. Block one is the most visited area, with the highest density of leopards. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

DAY 6

YALA OR MIRISSA/ BENTOTA

In the early morning, you will have the opportunity to witness the world's largest colony of Blue Whales off the coast of Sri Lanka, located near Mirissa Harbour. The Blue Whale is the largest animal to have ever lived on Earth, making this an incredible experience. Mirissa is the prime location for whale watching, with Blue, Bryde, Sperm, Humpback, and Killer whales being the most common species. There are also numerous other cetacean such as Spinner, Bottlenose, and Striped Dolphins. After whale watching, we will proceed towards Bentota with lunch being served en-route. We will then have a boat safari on the Madu River, followed by water sports in Bentota. Bentota is a well-known coastal city in Sri Lanka famous for its golden beaches and is located on the southern coastal tip of the Galle District of the Southern Province. The town is a popular tourist attraction and a favorite destination for water sports enthusiasts. We will end the day with dinner at your hotel, where you will stay overnight in a 3-star accommodation.

DAY 7

BENTOTA/COLOMBO

Lunch will be served at Colombo Restaurant. The city tour of Colombo will showcase the transformation of the city, with a mix of modern skyscrapers and old-world charm. The city still retains some of its colonial buildings such as the 100-year-old clock tower. Other places of interest include the Pettah bazaar for bargain shopping, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas with stately homes, and the Bandaranayke Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), a gift from the People’s Republic of China. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

DAY 8

COLOMBO- BANGALORE

After breakfast, please proceed to Colombo Airport for your return journey to Bangalore.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bangalore - Colombo - Negombo
Depart from Bangalore Airport and arrive at Colombo International Airport. You will be met and greeted at the airport, and then proceed to Negombo, which is located by the shores of a lagoon with the same name.
