DAY 1

GUWAHATI (ASSAM)

Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to hotel. Rest free at leisure. Overnight in Guwahati. Guwahati, The light of the East is the commercial capital of North East lying adjacent to the shores of the turbulent Brahmaputra. For guests arriving in the morning, enroute to hotel visit the Maa Kamakhya temple and Sankardev Kalakhetra. Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures. Situated on the Nilachal Hill, the temple structure resembles a Shikhara a beehive. Besides the main Devi temple, there are temples of 10 Mahavidyas in and around temple. These include Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta,Tripura Sundari, Tara, Kali, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Temples. Temple doors remain open for devotees in the following timings 08:00 am to 01:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra is the cultural complex, named after the most revered Saint of Assam, Srimanta Sankardev and provides a glimpse into Assamese culture & heritage. It has a cultural museum, library and various facilities for preserving, demonstrating and performing cultural items, besides a children's park within the sprawling premises. The Central Museum exhibits culture and heritage of different ethnic groups of Assam showcasing their dance, drama, music and art. Another famed attraction in the Kalakshetra is an Artistic Village. This Assamese village portrays the village life of Assam in the form of life like statues and model thatched huts.

DAY 2

GUWAHATI - DIRANG (340Kms / 9hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Dirang (4910 ft). Check in Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Dirang. Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.

DAY 3

DIRANG - TAWANG (155Kms / 6hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). En route witness the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, Apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys. Also witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 13700 ft, the Jaswant Garh War Memorial and Jung Falls. Overnight in Tawang. Jaswant Garh War Memorial : Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place. Sela Pass : @13700 ft, the Sela Pass is is snow-covered (full or partial) all through the year and has breathtaking mystic views. Close to the Pass is the beautiful Sela Lake, a heart-shaped lake chiseled between the mountains, which intensifies the beauty of the region. The Lake is mostly frozen in winter. The Sela Pass is the main route to access Tawang town and is located 78 km before reaching Tawang. Jung Falls : The Nuranang falls (original name) @6000 feet is located about 40 km before reaching Tawang is famed as one of the most stunning waterfalls in North East India. The falls height is about 100 meters. The legend about the waterfalls goes that it is named after a Monpa girl Nura who aided an Indian soldier during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. A trek to the nearby Rewai Village is another interesting activity. Walk down a flight of almost 100 steps to witness nature’s wonder, living-root bridge. The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which the local people inter-twine to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time. The root bridges, may be up to over a hundred feet long and take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, but they become very strong in the process. The bridges live and keep growing and strengthen over time. The useful lifespan of the bridges, is thought to be 500-600 years. Later drive to Dawki, a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation of fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngot river, the venue of the annual boat race held during March April at Umsyiem. The Umngot itself is a prime fishing spot for fishermen of the villages. The river is also famous for its crystal clear water, so clear that when seen from a distance, it appears as if the boat is floating in mid-air! The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride (at additional cost). Drive up to the Bangladesh border. Later proceed to Shillong for overnight stay. Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mwallynong.

DAY 4

TAWANG

Tawang is the beautiful land of the Monpa tribes. The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. After breakfast, visit the Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery, Ani Gompa. Later visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of the Indian heroes of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening. Overnight in Tawang. The Tawang Monastery, also known as the GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE is one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia and is the largest of its kind in India. The Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. It stands at 10,000 feet amidst the exotic Himalayan ranges and overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. The Urgelling Monastery is located 5 km from Tawang city, and is the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, born in the 17th century. The monastery was established by the Lama Urgen Sangpo in the 15th century.

DAY 5

TAWANG - BOMDILA (180Kms/6hrs)

Morning drive back to Bomdila. At a height of 8OOO ft., Bomdila is a small town famous for its Buddhists monasteries, magnificent valleys and Himalayan landscapes. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.

DAY 6

BOMDILA - KAZIRANGA (320kms/8hrs)

After Breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check in hotel. Evening free. Overnight at Kaziranga. Kaziranga, the World Heritage Site is the oldest park in Assam & is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.Kaziranga National Park is a natural habitat for conservation of biologically diverse flora & fauna. It is inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses besides sheltering about 15 species of India’s threatened mammals. There are numerous other major wildlife fauna.

DAY 7

KAZIRANGA

Early morning go for Elephant ride @5-30 A.M/6: 30 A.M. (Subject to operation and allotment from forest department). Return for Breakfast to hotel. After breakfast proceed for Jeep safari in the Central Range. With Kohora as the entry point, the Central Range covers the Daphlang and Kathpora . Later enjoy Local Village & Tea Garden (Outer View) tour. Overnight at Kaziranga.

DAY 8

KAZIRANGA - SHILLONG (260Kms/6hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Shillong. En route witness the Umiam Lake or Barapani is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. If time permits visit Cathedral of Marry and Ward’s Lake. Evening free at leisure to explore the region on own. You may take a walk to the famous Police Bazaar for shopping. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 9

SHILLONG - CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG (60Kms/2hrs-One way)

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on the earth, for an awesome day trip. En route visit the famous Elephant. At Sohra, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem view point for mesmerizing views of the Hills. In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The limestone cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Also visit the Ramakrishna Mission. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay. Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.

DAY 10

SHILLONG - MWALLYNONG - SHILLONG

After breakfast drive to Mwallynong, the cleanest village in Asia (100 kms / 3 hrs drive approx), also known as God’s own Garden. With over 80 households, the village gives the ambiance of walking in a well maintained park ! Climb the 80 ft Sky Walk at Mawlynnong village for a bird’s eye view of the Village, the plantations and faraway plains of Bangladesh. You will also be acquainted to the Khasi lifestyle, their culture and economy. A trek to the nearby Rewai Village is another interesting activity.   1. Vehicle will NOT be on disposal
  • The vehicle used will be exclusive for that group but will not be at disposal.

  • Sightseeing points covered will depend on remaining time in hand
  • Full day sightseeing will be till maximum 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm as per given itinerary. For additional usage, per km / per hour will be charged as per usage.

3.Hotels located in Hills – in Busy areas / City Centers / No Entry / One Way zones 

  • Most of the hotels do not have parking place & vehicle cannot be parked in front of the gates for longer period hence gusts should wait at the reception 5 minute before
    the departure to avoid the inconveniences.
  • Due to shortage in space for parking, please be informed that you will have to be ready on time & wait in the lobby.
  • Due to uncalculated situations (traffic jams / traffic halts/ diversions etc.) the vehicle reporting may get delayed. We will request you to bear with us and as soon as vehicle arrives you will have to get in, before the policeman blow his whistle.
  • Due to vehicle-parking difficulty, most of the areas are restricted to entry of vehicle & specific time is allotted for entries. Kindly follow the time strictly as given to you.
  • In No Parking Zones, the vehicle will get parked in an available parking area. In such a case, you will have to wait for the vehicle to come to your designated area. Please be patient as the driver will have to come through traffic. Please coordinate with the driver.
  1. Transfers to next destination
  • Night travel is not possible, so if you have a transfer to another destination in second half, please maintain time of your morning sightseeing
  • If one destination is covered twice or additional destinations are included, additional charges will be applicable on per km / per hour basis.
  • During Rainy season, heavy showers are possible and many times tarpaulin may not cover all the luggage because of the nature of heavy showers. In such case, luggage will have to be loaded inside the vehicle. The guests will have to adjust to such situations.

5.General Terms

  • The tour guide reserves the rights to make changes or omit any place of visit, if it becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band, security reason etc.
  • Kindly inform us if the guests are senior citizens or have health related issues (like arthritis, heart problems etc.) or any such matter which might need special arrangements. Some itineraries will not be suitable for them and we will suggest accordingly.
  • The security concerns, driver’s working hours etc. will be kept in mind while planning the tour and sightseeing.
  • We try to ensure that the sightseeing points do not fall on a closing day. Incase due to inevitable situation if the sightseeing falls on a closing day, it will have to be left out. Conducting that particular tour or sightseeing point the next day will be subject to time availability.
  • Weather in the region is unpredictable. We have kept your sightseeing related with nature flexible.
  • The region’s prime tourist interest in its Nature and eco-friendly atmosphere. The facilities available here cannot be matched with other developed destinations.
  • Once the package is booked & confirmed no refund will be allowed. There will be no refund of any unutilized service in part or in full what so ever may be the reason.

 

SAFARI IN NATIONAL PARKS / WILD LIFE SANCTUARIES

Additional Safari Charges for Kaziranga National Park  at Western / Central range :

  • Elephant Safari – Rs.1000/- per person (please note elephant safari is on per seat basis and not individual hiring)
  • Jeep Safari – Rs.2500/- per jeep (1 jeep accommodates 6 persons)
  • Entry Fees (if safari is taken on next day) – Rs.100/-

 

Safari Guidelines

  • Safari is managed by our representative in the National Parks / Wild life Sanctuaries
  • Our representative will meet the guest in the evening at about 6:30 – 7:00 pm and provide all required information.
  • We are not responsible for cancellation of safari by the authorities
  • Sometimes, during season, the Parks may remain closed for census. This is announced only 2-3 days prior. We are not responsible for cancellation of safari in such a case.
  • Refunds for safari, if any, will be transferred back to the agent and will not be handed over to guest.

A trek to the nearby Rewai Village is another interesting activity. Walk down a flight of almost 100 steps to witness nature’s wonder, living-root bridge. The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which the local people inter-twine to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time. The root bridges, may be up to over a hundred feet long and take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, but they become very strong in the process. The bridges live and keep growing and strengthen over time. The useful lifespan of the bridges, is thought to be 500-600 years. Later drive to Dawki, a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation of fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngot river, the venue of the annual boat race held during March April at Umsyiem. The Umngot itself is a prime fishing spot for fishermen of the villages. The river is also famous for its crystal clear water, so clear that when seen from a distance, it appears as if the boat is floating in mid-air! The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride (at additional cost). Drive up to the Bangladesh border. Later proceed to Shillong for overnight stay. Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mwallynong.
Day 4: Tawang
Tawang is the beautiful land of the Monpa tribes. The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. After breakfast, visit the Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery, Ani Gompa. Later visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of the Indian heroes of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening. Overnight in Tawang. The Tawang Monastery, also known as the GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE is one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia and is the largest of its kind in India. The Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. It stands at 10,000 feet amidst the exotic Himalayan ranges and overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. The Urgelling Monastery is located 5 km from Tawang city, and is the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, born in the 17th century. The monastery was established by the Lama Urgen Sangpo in the 15th century.
Day 5: Tawang - Bomdila (180kms/6hrs)
Morning drive back to Bomdila. At a height of 8OOO ft., Bomdila is a small town famous for its Buddhists monasteries, magnificent valleys and Himalayan landscapes. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 6: Bomdila - Kaziranga (320kms/8hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check in hotel. Evening free. Overnight at Kaziranga. Kaziranga, the World Heritage Site is the oldest park in Assam & is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.Kaziranga National Park is a natural habitat for conservation of biologically diverse flora & fauna. It is inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses besides sheltering about 15 species of India’s threatened mammals. There are numerous other major wildlife fauna.
Day 7: Kaziranga
Early morning go for Elephant ride @5-30 A.M/6: 30 A.M. (Subject to operation and allotment from forest department). Return for Breakfast to hotel. After breakfast proceed for Jeep safari in the Central Range. With Kohora as the entry point, the Central Range covers the Daphlang and Kathpora . Later enjoy Local Village & Tea Garden (Outer View) tour. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 8: Kaziranga - Shillong (260kms/6hrs Drive)
After breakfast, drive to Shillong. En route witness the Umiam Lake or Barapani is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. If time permits visit Cathedral of Marry and Ward’s Lake. Evening free at leisure to explore the region on own. You may take a walk to the famous Police Bazaar for shopping. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 9: Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong (60kms/2hrs-one Way)
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on the earth, for an awesome day trip. En route visit the famous Elephant. At Sohra, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem view point for mesmerizing views of the Hills. In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The limestone cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Also visit the Ramakrishna Mission. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay. Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.
Day 10: Shillong - Mwallynong - Shillong
After breakfast drive to Mwallynong, the cleanest village in Asia (100 kms / 3 hrs drive approx), also known as God’s own Garden. With over 80 households, the village gives the ambiance of walking in a well maintained park ! Climb the 80 ft Sky Walk at Mawlynnong village for a bird’s eye view of the Village, the plantations and faraway plains of Bangladesh. Evening enjoy a River cruise over the river Brahmaputra (cruise charges additional). Overnight in Guwahati. Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures. Situated on the Nilachal Hill, the temple structure resembles a Shikhara a beehive. Besides the main Devi temple, there are temples of 10 Mahavidyas in and around temple. These include Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta,Tripura Sundari, Tara, Kali, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Temples. After breakfast drive to Guwahati. The light of the East is the commercial capital of North East lying adjacent to the shores of the turbulent Brahmaputra. Visit Kamakhya Temple. Evening enjoy a River cruise over the river Brahmaputra (cruise charges additional). Overnight in Guwahati. Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures.   • All hotels do not have lift facility & the guest may have to climb stairs. Incase of guests having problems with blood pressure, breathing, knee & heart or if they cannot climb the higher floors, we will request you to report this problem at the time of booking so that we may take appropriate action. This is again subject to availability.
  • Lift, Tea/coffee maker/ mini fridge / toilettery kit (with moisturizer, tooth paste, brush etc.) etc. may be given in most hotels. But they are NOT mandatory part of 3/4/5 Star hotels. If guests have specific requirements, kindly inform us and we will select properties accordingly. These items and facilities differ from hotel to hotel.

  • Many regions do not have star category hotels. Similar category hotels with the best available room will be provided.

Vehicle operation & usage guide:

1.Vehicle Segment : 

  • Carriers in vehicles are not allowed in the region.
  • No AC will be available in vehicles in Hill regions
  • For 7 & above guests Tempo Traveller / Xylo / Scorpio / Bolero or  similar category 
  • For 4 -6  guests Innova / Xylo / Scorpio / Bolero or  similar category 
  • For 2-3 guests  Swift D’zire / Etios/ Amaze or similar category
  1. Vehicle will NOT be on disposal
  • The vehicle used will be exclusive for that group but will not be at disposal.
  • Vehicle will be available as per your itinerary. Kindly follow the time strictly
  • Sightseeing points covered will depend on remaining time in hand
  • Full day sightseeing will be till maximum 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm as per given itinerary. For additional usage, per km / per hour will be charged as per usage.

3.Hotels located in Hills – in Busy areas / City Centers / No Entry / One Way zones 

  • Most of the hotels do not have parking place & vehicle cannot be parked in front of the gates for longer period hence gusts should wait at the reception 5 minute before
    the departure to avoid the inconveniences.
  • Due to shortage in space for parking, please be informed that you will have to be ready on time & wait in the lobby.
  • Due to uncalculated situations (traffic jams / traffic halts/ diversions etc.) the vehicle reporting may get delayed. We will request you to bear with us and as soon as vehicle arrives you will have to get in, before the policeman blow his whistle.
  • Due to vehicle-parking difficulty, most of the areas are restricted to entry of vehicle & specific time is allotted for entries. Kindly follow the time strictly as given to you.
  • In No Parking Zones, the vehicle will get parked in an available parking area. In such a case, you will have to wait for the vehicle to come to your designated area. Please be patient as the driver will have to come through traffic. Please coordinate with the driver.
  1. Transfers to next destination
  • Night travel is not possible, so if you have a transfer to another destination in second half, please maintain time of your morning sightseeing
  • If one destination is covered twice or additional destinations are included, additional charges will be applicable on per km / per hour basis.
  • During Rainy season, heavy showers are possible and many times tarpaulin may not cover all the luggage because of the nature of heavy showers. In such case, luggage will have to be loaded inside the vehicle. The guests will have to adjust to such situations.

5.General Terms

  • The tour guide reserves the rights to make changes or omit any place of visit, if it becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band, security reason etc.
  • Kindly inform us if the guests are senior citizens or have health related issues (like arthritis, heart problems etc.) or any such matter which might need special arrangements. Some itineraries will not be suitable for them and we will suggest accordingly.
  • The security concerns, driver’s working hours etc. will be kept in mind while planning the tour and sightseeing.
  • We try to ensure that the sightseeing points do not fall on a closing day. Incase due to inevitable situation if the sightseeing falls on a closing day, it will have to be left out. Conducting that particular tour or sightseeing point the next day will be subject to time availability.
  • Weather in the region is unpredictable. We have kept your sightseeing related with nature flexible.
  • The region’s prime tourist interest in its Nature and eco-friendly atmosphere. The facilities available here cannot be matched with other developed destinations.
  • Once the package is booked & confirmed no refund will be allowed. There will be no refund of any unutilized service in part or in full what so ever may be the reason.

 

SAFARI IN NATIONAL PARKS / WILD LIFE SANCTUARIES

Most National Parks remain closed from 1st May  – 31st October

Additional Safari Charges for Kaziranga National Park  at Western / Central range :

  • Elephant Safari – Rs.1000/- per person (please note elephant safari is on per seat basis and not individual hiring)
  • Jeep Safari – Rs.2500/- per jeep (1 jeep accommodates 6 persons)
  • Entry Fees (if safari is taken on next day) – Rs.100/-

 

Safari Guidelines

  • Safari is managed by our representative in the National Parks / Wild life Sanctuaries
  • Our representative will meet the guest in the evening at about 6:30 – 7:00 pm and provide all required information.
  • We are not responsible for cancellation of safari by the authorities
  • Sometimes, during season, the Parks may remain closed for census. This is announced only 2-3 days prior. We are not responsible for cancellation of safari in such a case.
  • Refunds for safari, if any, will be transferred back to the agent and will not be handed over to guest.
